Antique Chinese Export Canton Famille Rose Medallion bone china porcelain square demitasse cup & saucer richly decorated with over glazed multicolored enamels and gold gilt featuring four paneled sections with hand painted floral design including birds. All colors are amazingly bright and intact. Gold gilt around the edges is aging, loosing it’s shine that is normal for that age. The quality of the porcelain is impeccable high: thin, firm, translucent through the light. There is no marks of origin on both pieces that attribute them to the period of 1860-1890 when the mark of origin was not required. The cup & saucer is in perfect condition, measures: cup is 2 3/4” tall, the saucer is 4 3/4” x 4 3/4”
