Bourns 500K SHORT split shaft audio taper low friction potentiometer.
Bourns are a nice quality alternative to CTS pots.  These audio taper pots are suitable for both tone and volume controls.

1.  If you are uncertain whether your guitar uses short (3/8") or long
(3/4"
) shaft  pots, as
a general rule this pot will fit most production Gibson Les Paul's manufactured before 1977, historic reissues, PRS & Hamer guitars, but
please double check before you order.
2. The pot has a coarse knurl shaft, CTS pots have a fine knurled shaft.
3.  Bourns low friction pots have a metal on metal feel to there rotation.  This is normal.  You can always spray it with deoxit, which should insure cleanliness.
